Template

When I originally wrote these pages, I didn't realize that the template table could represent its own secrets. I guess that's my engineer's past showing through!

Here are some indications which could clear things up (manybe).

The table above has two main secrets:

As an example, we'll take the highlighted template from the table. The first measure (left column) is supposed to be the distance from the stern. This measure is not useful at all. Some templates fit at distances far different. But the template show their use in estimating the angles of the boards, and are very handy.

There are 5 pairs of values (5 columns), which describe 5 points of the template. Maybe it's easiest to draw the template on a piece of paper folded in two, using the fold as the vertical reference.

In the drawing, the 5 points are marked in grey boxes.

Templates

When cutting the paper (still folded) you'll get the complete template without having to redraw the symmetric part of the form. A few hints:
